Reserve a session and learn how to create plates, bowls, or cups without handles. The lesson fee covers 2 hours worth of learning technique, the materials, and studio maintenance. This is a private class where you will learn the basics of throwing pottery on the wheel. While taking this class you will receive a 30 minute demo on how to use the wheel and an hour and a half to practice throwing up to 3 pieces. You may choose up to two of the three pieces to keep and glaze. (It is recommended that you follow up the class by requesting studio time with the instructor at a later date to learn to complete thrown pieces.) THIS IS AN INTRODUCTORY CLASS AND DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE A PRO IN 2 HOURS.  Our instructors have years of practice perfecting their skills.

Remember Shrinky Dink in the 70s?  It's come a long way baby!  Create your tropical themed design on this polymer shrink thin sheet and bring it to life with vivid colored pencils.  Shrink it in a toaster oven to the perfect size for a pendant. Learn how to work with basic wire working tools and create a wire frame to showcase your work of art.  I'll provide an adult coloring book as inspiration for  ideas for your creations to get you started.

Santorini tiles are smooth flat stones that are imported from Greece and are all the rage in the rock painting community. Their bright white smooth surface makes for beautiful pieces of art and is like painting on rock canvas. Included in this class will be a step by step guide to complete a silhouette sunset paintings on a Santorini tile. You will be provided 3 medium size tiles to paint on. The first tile demonstration will be given and the other two tiles are for you to decide on the theme. All supplies will be provided and it will be a two hour class.

This workshop will offer participants the opportunity to mosaic a dimensional object.  We will use the pique assiete and trencadis methods/broken tile and china to cover our objects There will be objects such as vases and flower pots to choose from.

We are offering an exciting rare class with artist David Dessauer, he happily combines his love of fishing and the arts. He has mastered Gyotaku it is an ancient Japanese painting technique fisherman used to document their catch since the 1800’s. Painting on a fish, the image is then transferred onto a unique paper or fabric. This is a great class to take with your Valentine or to make a unique gift for your loved one. You will make a printed fish t-shirt and a fish print on rice paper. There are two separate inks used in both methods and all supplies are included. We offer spring water and to browse David’s artwork in the gallery after your class. Please register for this class soon seats are limited and will fill up quickly.

Shibori is a Japanese manual resist dyeing technique which produces patterns on fabric with natural objects. The traditional color is indigo. In this class, you will make two silk scarves; one to keep, and one to give as a gift!
